Wherever the Catholic sun doth shine,
There’s always laughter and good red wine.
At least I’ve always found it so.
Benedicamus Domino!

About Me
I'm an Anglican priest, musician, performer and aficionado of the British Music Hall.
I believe that laughter (which stems from joy and delight) should have an important place in our discussions about God. Laughter and the spiritual life are most certainly compatible.
The Welsh word 'Hwyl' is used to express fervour, emotion and a stirring sensation. But it also used to describe having 'fun'. Apparently, the origins of 'Hwyl' go back to the Welsh revivals and the sense of 'fun' and 'joy' in worship.
My blog is focused on all things 'Hwyl'.
I’m a member of the British Music Hall Society, committee member of London's Players' Theatre and founder of The Collen Players: a music hall troupe based in Llangollen, North Wales.
